I guess you can see it's Theseus fleeing from the vicious Minotaur, half bull, half man creature born after outrageous events caused by Crete king Minos' disobedience to the gods.
If you want to know more about this fabulous and popular story, just google it or see it on wikipedia.

I think Theseus came out more like a Mayan warrior than the Greek hero he is supposed to be, but the colors looked well in this way, so that's what I got.

I didn't want to put the characters on a white background, so I took this one: [link] .

Theseus pose was based on one of these excellent poses: [link]

Wow...I wasn't expecting such a detailed peace for a "quick sketch". What an amazing piece - I love the detail and action of the piece.

Simply wonderful

Thanks so very much
great job! i love the mixed media you used, and thanks for using my cave as a background :-)

Brian: Should I lose the waistcoat?
Tim: I think you should burn it, cos it you lose it, you might find it again.
Spaced

I like him in blue - he was after all Athenian and blue was a colour of Athens.

Then he wouldn't need a sword because it wouldn't hae harmed the minotaur anyway :) he had to use the beast's horn.

Good stuff!

Never knock on Death's door; ring the doorbell and run (he hates that)
Love it... have to root for the bull headed "victim" though~ ;-)
The background looks a bit strange O_o Not really fitting ^^;
I think you got the greek armor quite correctly =D i don´t know if they did wear all-blue, but Theseus is a myth and the blue builds a good contrast against the red skin of the minotaur =D And the whole idea is hilarious

Die Dummheit schreit sich laut heraus.
Wow, I love all the tones you use in your pictures! Your sense of bone structure is right where it should be as well.

And loving the blue suit of Spartan-like armor. :)

Thanks! It takes me quite a long time to decide colors in pictures -though sometimes I think I screwed up the piece. I know 'correct' Greek armors are usually red and golden colored, but I chose to try some nice new colors, and I like the result.
Thanks again!

If there's a missing 'k' in the message, it's the keyboard's fault, not mine.
I know... I'll probably also submit the original colored piece -white background, only the characters.

Really? I guess the armor is kinda right, but the colors definitely not :lmao: , but I was just looking forward that contrast you said, so it's a fair sacrifice :D

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
I know, Theseus is losing the fight! There are only two options: run or be the Minotaur's lunch.

Thank you -I like him blue, too, I don't know why, but blue makes everyone look more god-like (probably because of sky :lmao:).

You're right! And even if he can't catch the beast, he would fight with his bare hands, because he's a Greek hero :D

Thanks againd :D
